This was a slate reroof we undertook in Hyde, Tameside. The original terrace property was extended at the side to nearly double its footprint, joining the existing roof at the rear, sitting lower on the property’s front elevation. We removed the existing roof to the older property and felted and battened it front and back. We then did the same to the new extension. Once this was complete, we re-slated the whole roof, using reclaimed slate to a near perfect match, making the roof look like it had always been this size. New code 4 lead soakers and flashings were installed to the apex chimney and soakers to the front gable end wall, ready for a render coat to cover down over them.
